I don't think you can get an 'add on' for the 400's though (or any other deck) that will just give you the wave display.

I wont lie, i do use the wave display more than I'd like to and it has often saved me from hitting a loop pre-emptively or 1 beat late.

As the boys said above though, one of the DVS systems will sort you out, though you would need a laptop etc then on top of the 400's. But from what I can remember I think the 400's are natively supported by Serato (not so sure about Traktor)

Yep, they are natively supported in Serato, and it works FANTASTICALLY well.

The new 1.2 version of Traktor (due in September, but a beta is publicly available now) also supports the CDJ-400 natively.

I suppose Traktor is the better choice right now:

1. You can use the CDJ-400's internal soundcards, in Serato you HAVE to use the SL-1/SL-3/TTM-57.
2. I don't think you need the "scratch" version of Traktor Pro, since you aren't even using timecode.

That's pretty sweet, although i'd never buy them as i just don't like them one bit. That platter is just too small, full stop. (Personal opinion blah blah blah)..

Appreciate the advice everyone! Looking into Traktor as we speak.
