Agreed, chopped up vocals work great for a dub to add some interest - vocals but not!
I found this track impressive ages ago and losing the vocals doesn't hurt the track at all, they're a bit unnecessary. I tried to switch off a bit while listening and not much stood out as un-professional sounding, although I did sense that the main riff sequence went on a bit too long, perhaps bringing it down to a mini-breakdown and then back in again would keep it fresher. The lead synth is cool, not quite my cup of tea as I'd put a little more echo and widening on it but I can see how it would work in a club as its very prominent and upfront! Congrats in advance on getting it played at an event, who cares if it's unsigned, reaching people is what it's all about!
