Got the chance to go and see Chicane at a club near me and was wondering if it was worth going... No denying that in the past it would have been great. But to be honest I don't have a clue what to expect now.
What genre / style do they play now? Or is is just a performance of their tracks?
his last almost ten years of music is pretty lame imo, but i have no idea how he is live.

Ha.... Yeah! Either that date or the date in Sheffield the night after. Thats another thing, Whats the Kasbah like as a venue?
Like I mentioned earlier I am happy to admit I'm clueless regarding what Chicane play now, do they even dj!?... I'll prob end up going and seeing what its like.
I saw Chicane in Manchester a while ago after he'd been away for all those years, it was a PA with Nick and a full band including a couple of vocalists.
The set was mixture, starting out with quite a bit of the Rock stuff from Somersault, but gradually becoming more Electronic and ending with a few full on classics.
I would imagine that Chicane would play very much the same as when I last saw him, if anything it would probably be less Rock focused and more Electronic based judging by his last few singles, although personally I would only really be interested in the old stuff.
I've been to the Kasbah in Coventry before as my girlfriend goes to Cov Uni and it's half decent, there's a medium sized room for live performances, a bigger room for the main club and a smaller one for chilling out.
If it's not too much hassle to get there I would definately recommend checking it out, I'm hoping to catch the show if only to hear Offshore being played on a live setup again. I can guarantee you it is an experience you won't forget.

I was at that one to
I wasn't to keen on the cheese, but the classics were fucking top notch .
I saw Nick and the band at Koko in London a while ago. They played quite some cheese and the vocalist talked a lot inbetween the tracks to work the crowd, annoying as hell. It was really good to hear some tracks live and I guess it's not too bad for old times sake but just don't go there expecting a Palladium set.
I have the live recording of it but I actually can't stand to listen to it at home . PM me if you wanna hear it.
Tracklist was:
Spirit
Bruised Water
Nothing
Halcyon (2008 version)
Offshore
Saltwater
Don't Give Up
No Ordinary Morning
Stoned in Love.
They also played a few tracks as an encore, but I can't remember which ones.
