My only regret was that the crowd was chock full of ginos and other really jacked up, high, and full-of-themselves people... I'm claustrophobic to an extent as well, but I still managed to enjoy myself.
I guess the lesson I've learnt in the past is that if there are tickets on sale before hand... get your hands on them... especially if it's a well known act like Oakenfold. Even the ginos will pretend that they like Oakenfold, and they'll come out just because it's cool.
Having bashed them so much, SOME ginos were surprisingly polite. If you step out of the way for them, they give you a pat on the back and say thanks... but if you stand in their way, they think that you wanna start a fight and they two-handedly push you away (lol).
In retrospect, Oakenfold's set was REALLY good. I don't know if people agree, but he played his fair share of uplifting tunes, coupled in with REALLY banging progressive trance (not progressive house). The breaks in the end (which Max continued) included a Breaks remix of Dirty Vegas - Days Go By (Don't know which remix, someone can help perhaps?)...
I lost the plot a few times, with tears as well!
Cheers

Oakenfold simply put on a show. His set last night totally changed my view on what kind of a dj this man really is. As most of you have already mentioned, pounding tracks were being thrown back and forth. Really enjoyed the breaks. The people were generally cool, not too much sketch. It was great to run into NRG2infinite, trancegeek and justin. All in all, i couldn't of have spent my birthday any better way.
peace,
Dave
