Best DJ Z-Trip Ignites a Revolution as the New Resident at Rain Nightclub
Z-Trip’s Revolution, a Party for the People launches Oct. 16

Las Vegas (Oct. 2, 2009) – N9NE Group and Palms Casino Resort present Z-Trip’s Revolution featuring world-renowned musical talent DJ Z-Trip at Rain Nightclub beginning Oct. 16. DJ Z-Trip is the new resident mix-master, showcasing his genre-blurring style on select Fridays.

“We are excited to have DJ Z-Trip as our new resident in Rain Nightclub,” says Michael Morton, N9NE Group Managing Member. “Z-Trip has earned his recent title ‘America’s Best DJ for 2009.’* His track record of critically acclaimed sold-out shows, which have smashed attendance records, will further expand the massive following of music fans from all over the world who come to Las Vegas for stellar music and entertainment.”

“I’m honored to call Rain Nightclub my new home,” says DJ Z-Trip. “N9NE Group shares the progressive vision that artists like myself need in order to push the envelope. Las Vegas is now a global music destination; it’s only right that we join forces and make it happen.”

Z-Trip’s Revolution features specialty artwork created by Shepard Fairey, renowned contemporary artist, graphic designer and illustrator. Fairey’s work exploded into the American psyche with the iconic Barack Obama “HOPE” poster during the 2008 U.S. presidential election. The Smithsonian, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London all include Fairey’s work in their collections.

Z-Trip’s Revolution begins at Rain Nightclub on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009. DJ Z-Trip will spin on the following dates with select nights featuring cutting edge collaborations with other musicians and DJs (TBA): Oct. 30 (with special guest, DJ P); Nov. 6; Nov. 13 (with special guest, MSTRKRFT); Dec. 4; Dec. 31; Jan. 8; Jan. 22; Feb. 5; and Feb. 26.

Celebrity guest DJs will fuel the pulse with their own unique mash-ups at Z-Trip’s Revolution on Oct. 23 – Will.I.Am; Nov. 20 – Jazzy Jeff; Nov. 27 – DJ Skribble; and Dec. 11 – DJ Vice.

To be a part of Z-Trip’s Revolution, purchase tickets at http://www.revoltonfriday.com. Artwork and photos are available upon request.

DJ Z-TRIP
Known as the “Godfather of Mash-ups,” Z-Trip (real name Zach Sciacca) can entertain any crowd. Recently crowned “America’s Best DJ for 2009” by DJ Times* magazine’s fourth annual fan-driven poll, both fans and peers alike call him one of the best live performance DJs in history. The superstar DJ will make his avatar in-game debut in the highly-anticipated DJ Hero™ video game later this year, which he also contributed three exclusive tracks to. He will be an actual playable character, allowing gamers the unique opportunity to mimic his celebrated one-of-a-kind style. Z-Trip has crisscrossed the globe nonstop since the Coachella Music Festival in 2002 and has opened for The Rolling Stones as well as played with jam bands at the Bonnaroo Festival. The Los Angeles-based turntablist is featured heavily in Doug Pray’s terrific documentary, Scratch. His discography is extensive, including most recent release, Victory Lap, which has surpassed the 500,000 download mark. 2002’s collaboration with DJ P, Uneasy Listening, garnered praise across the board in magazines including Rolling Stone, Spin and Entertainment Weekly, and to this day sparks bidding wars on eBay.
