every time I go to the chat, it asks me to choose a nickname. ok, so I put in my nickname. then it asks me for the password. so I put in my password in TA..... and it tells me "password not correct" and changes my nickname to "guest639864386437658658946"........
could it be that someone registered my nickname on the chat????

ta forums and ta chat are different things!
Basically there is a huge network of chatrooms called IRC (Internet Relay Chat) and the tranceaddict chatroom is a room which runs on the IRC network. So names are the ones registered in the IRC network, so ta forum passes are valid here. People password their names on IRC, for the same reason we do on here, to have an account, so you either have to make your own name on IRC or use a non-registered one.
using the www.tranceaddict.com/chat is just an internet explorer way of entering, normally people use the IRC network with chat clients, such as www.mirc.com which u can use to register nicknames etc etc
