I am looking for the cheapest and most efficient way to use my computer as my music library so I can play off my setup. I have two pioneer CDJ-800 MK2's and a Behringer DJX 700 Mixer. My laptop does not have a soundcard. Any tips appreciated!
i got totaly hooked on cdj400 USB-soundcard option when i heard about it some weeks ago. dont know if its good but you might wanna read up on that and change to cdj400 (if u dont use scratch that is).

Is this the industry standard? I am looking for the most tested and proven program for such applications. Any other responses?

no that would be serato scratch or traktor scratch or ableton (all apps) and a good soundcard. traktor and serato can both be bought with suited soundcards. i have not tested any of them, i use ableton a little.

What he said. The cheapest would be Traktor Skratch Dual.

Make up your mind you pecker. You'll rarely, if ever, get an industry standard which is also the cheapest option.

I guess your right! Well I am just hoping that there is something I can connect without a soundcard. If not I guess I am going to have to just stick with CD's until I can buy a laptop with a card and some software. Also, what is a suited soundcard?

There are cheaper solutions similar to serato or traktor.
I use mixvibes. Was about 250 euro. No idea what the current price is.
There is also m-audio torq. Not sure about the price for this either.
They're no industry standard, but they do an equally good job and are much cheaper then traktor or serato.

Virtual DJ was ok but I sold it. If you are serious about djing then go for the expensive stuff.
