Well, it doesn't come with an integrated sound card like some of the other controllers so that means that you have to buy a separate external soundcard. I currently have the Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ, and I couldn't be happier with it. It costs around $250, but as with the VCI-100 it's worth every penny. If you're patient, you can get a slightly used one on eBay for about half the price. That's how I got mine.
If you want something with the same quality but for a much lower price you can go with the Audio 2 DJ, which is essentially the same components of the Audio 4 and Audio 8 but in a smaller package and minus all the extra inputs and outputs. That one goes for $120.
As for the VCI-100 having all the things you need...yeah, it does since you can program each button to do what you need it to do with the software you have, which in this case is Traktor. Functions like 'channel cueing' are integrated into Traktor, not the controller. What the controller does, is it helps you have a tactile interface to trigger functions in Traktor instead of using a mouse and keyboard.
