its not about drugs or sex...or even the parties surrounding it...its about joining with other human beings, showing that when you strip everything away, people are pretty damn resourceful and creative and are willing to join together to create an alternative society. its about taking yourself out of the normal modern comforts of everyday life, pushing your brain to think outside of the box and identify with your senses. i think its pretty neat and obviously multiple thousands of other people do too. if your brain aint ready, it aint ready...

there comes a time when the operation of the machine is so odious that you cannot even tacitly participate. you've got to place your bodies on the gears, the wheels, all the mechanism. you've got to indicate to those who own it and those who run it, that unless you are free, the machine will be prevented from working at all.
