Cdj-2000
I have a gig on Sunday with my friend who has 2000's. Is there much differences between the 2000 and the 1000? Does it behave in the same fashion as its predecessor? I'm using CD's for this gig but haven't touched a 2000 yet, so I'm curious if the controls are somewhat the same.

If I had ten minutes to mess with them I wouldn't have to post a thread. However, since I'll be walking in to this gig as it's already going no chance of that happening. No worries I figured out my own question.
Just asking a simple question dude that's it. I'm starting to see why many have stopped hanging in the dj booth.

The Dj Booth is more a forum of habit. You get a load more lurkers than anything. Every now and again a good thread comes up and plenty of action is had. The rest of the time it's like a sunday afternoon. Lazy and relaxing.
Although in your case you didn't quite get the response you wanted.
I'm assuming and nearly 99% sure the 2000's will be near identical apart from maybe feeling a little tighter (not literally) than the predecessor. For the extra little tid bits that it can do I'd look up some youtube videos but you'll easily get by using it if you're familiar with the 1000's.
What i'd love to know is how do you natively hook the 2000 up to a traktor set up.
Again no doubt youtube has that answer for me too.
End of the day every thread on here could be answered by youtube. We ask the questions in here to get answers from people we 'know' and trust.
I think.

It's cool. I went to the pioneer website and checked it out. I wasn't sure if there was anything different between the two.
you also have to remember, when it comes to the 2000's, there's only a few here that have used them yet
pioneer has a good thing going and i doubt they're going to try re-invent the wheel, the basics should be the same, you shouldn't have anything to worry about

I didn't think much changed from the 1000, but I wasn't sure.
My friend let me borrow the decks to practice with. Not much change from the 1000. Although I found the platter to be a little stiff even with the adjustments. But the decks are only a few weeks old. The needle search function is really cool. I haven't touched the search button since practicing. The other cool feature is the dj link. I don't think I'll be bringing out hard drives or linking them together for the reason of getting used to the search feature.
