So it looks like I might be in town for NYE, and I'm looking for a place to hit up with some friends. A friend found out about this event in a large warehouse in Brooklyn:

Has anyone ever been to any of the past events by W&B? I don't know what to expect, but it looks like it might be fun, and a good place to meet some real interesting people.

Any thoughts?

If you guys have other suggestions, please let me know. I don't want to go to Roseland for Steve Angello, D36 won't do either because the people I'll be with won't put up with techno. The ideal spot is a place with good music, good people and reasonably priced drinks (half of us are grad students)

I wouldn't risk it going to a warehouse party on such a big night, chances are it will get shut down.

exactly those parties get shut down quick id check somewhere else. if you're into the rave scene and some underground parties im sure some of the vets on these boards can PM you some info. i still dont know what the fukk im doin but i wanna go big bc i missed goin out for my B-day (stayed local), Halloween was retarded i missed thanksgiving eve.. i needa go all out this year

Alright, seems like its gonna be too risky to go to this warehouse on NYE...I don't wanna deal with all these problems.

Somebody should get a NYE party thread started - I seriously can't believe Hammerstein & Roseland are the only good options...

+1. i feel like last year there were a lot of options for edm parties, at least from scanning the boards here.
i know d36 is having a pretty dope new years party as well.
