Basically very melodic trance I guess. Doesn't have to be necessarily uplifting, though I do prefer that most of the time. (second song for example is sorta in between emotionally...starts off kinda sad then transitions to a more hopeful feeling... at least to me)
Something "hard" with massive drops like this would definitely NOT be what I'm looking for (though I love this song):
(btw this is not Bhuddist meditation, don't know a ton about that, but this is a form of meditation in which music is fine... and for me, trance works best, but I simply don't know of enough songs/albums/etc. to meditate for extended periods of time)

Ok I'm gonna revise my post lol. ANY good trance that's not *too* "hard" (FML by deadmau5 would be hard), that could be good for meditating would be great. Thanks guys. I'm kinda at a loss here being new to EDM.
(btw this is a form of meditation in which music is fine)

Some good meditative tracks, in my opinion, are:
(Of the trance/progressive house sort)
Scott Bond + Solarstone - 3rd Earth
MFA - The Difference it Makes
Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix)
(Of the chillout sort)
Aphex Twin - Xtal
M83 - Lower Your Eyelids To Die With The Sun
Radiohead - Videotape

As a side note to some of my TA peers: if you haven't read Markus Schulz's appeal for civility on TA, you should check it out: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...847&forumid=33&
That's over 6 years old now. Methinks his plea fell on disinterested ears.
Maybe he should contribute to TA more instead of bitching about things.
