The metal crowd is always only attracted to the most obnoxious noises possible.

I think the metal crowd would take serious offence to that comment. Well if they knew it was in reference to that video anyway.

Think of that track as the cheese of industrial.

cuz then there's this track, considered a classic (skip to 2:22 to compare):

I can't stand dubstep...in any form. Easily the worst genre of EDM over the last year.

I completely agree...although I'd go as far as to say the worst genre of music.

Jesus christ, start listening to good Dubstep. There's so much good Dubstep and so much variety this year, there's no way you don't like any of it. (Unless you hate everything that isn't 4/4)
Dubstep get's praised for a good reason. It has the most forward pushing Artists of any EDM genre right now easily. And no, Dubstep is not just hardcore noises. Dubstep can be as chill-out as any other genre if it wants to.

I'm gonna do a last ditch effort. If you don't find anything of this interesting I can't help you.

Only the third track (the R&B one) was interesting. The rest of it was chillout/lounge music. I wouldn't really classify those tracks as dubstep. It's really a stretch...

That's bullshit. It's still Dubstep.
