Howdy all...I don't post in this subforum that often but I just had a question on pricing vinyl for (re)sale.

Just went to the record store and I managed to grab a couple pieces that apparently are very sought after.

The first one is pretty straightforward (Even though I have no idea who/what makes it kinda valuable), but the FlyLo EP is actually a whitelabel so I have no idea how this affects its value (It came with a generic sleeve)...Which is the question, basically. I'm not too sure I'll probably not sell it just yet, it's kinda cool to have an Adult Swim bump soundtrack on vinyl

You haven't actually asked a question.

If you're asking how to price the records for resale, just grade them using the Goldmine standard, look at the pricing of copies for sale on Discogs, then decide your asking price. Keep in mind that while there might be 4 copies of an item selling from $50 to $200, that the chances of actually selling your item in that range are pretty slim, unless you're prepared to sit on it until a monied (or foolish, or some combination of the two) buyer comes along. Reference the sales history and you'll see that the rare records that move the fastest are the ones that don't have delusionally astronomical price tags attached to them.

Now, since you haven't actually asked a question, it might also be fair to assume that you just posted this to brag about your finds. If that's the case, with the exception of a few people such as yourself, no one actually cares. I have records that I nabbed on the cheap that sell for $50+ on discogs, and I scribble things like "FAT BASSLINE!!" in black marker on the labels, just to show how pointless it is to fetishise electronic music.

it's crazy out there in discogs land. i sold a copy of luminary - amsterdam for $50 and couldn't get rid of some other nice ones for $1.50. Discogs has a price helper, but to sell your records you will probably have to hit up a bunch of forums and also use their forums to spam.

Does the fact that my particular copy is a whitelabel affect what I can sell it for?

Note that there is not an entry for whitelabel versions of the particular EP I was asking about.

I got a nice list of vinyl in great condition I am going to drop the spam when I get them ready Oh yes.

A I shall spam the board with great classics at nice prices.
