Ableton Live mixing question (mixing in different original tempos)
Hi everyone,
I have a question about Ableton Live. I write electronic music in various genres and want to be able to play live some of my tracks by mixing some of their components in Ableton DJ view (or however it''s called). The problem occurs when I try to end one track which is in one tempo and start another which is in another. Is there a way to bypass the general Ableton tempo that puts all the tracks into one tempo???
I hope I am being clear. Basically, for instance I want to play a track in 120bpm and start slowly crossfading into track which is in 90bpm, leaving both tracks in their original tempos.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot ahead!!

Turn off Warp on the 90bpm track. If you then want to carry on beatmatching from there, you'll want to set the main arrangement tempo to the tempo of that track, then you can carry on using Warp.
The manual is your friend for finding out how to do these things...
And yeah, slowly fading between 2 tracks of different speeds rarely sounds good - just drop it in instead. But you'll still need to turn off Warp
