I think I've heard it used on other channels as well, e.g. 7, so it may not be tied to a particular channel. I think if you watch a fair amount of TV you would have heard it already many times.
BTW Has anyone seen the Bridgstone ad where a family in a car are about to crash into a bus, but the tires save them? Is that Cygnus X - The orange theme being played? I just saw it last night for the first time.

Paul Oakenfold & Andy Gray - Tast-E
this track is also known as:
Element 4 - Big Brother

Hmmm... I actuall have the original audio CD single of Paul Oakenfold & Andy Gray - Tast-E, and I listened to it for the first time just then. I found the CD at Woolworths Metro in the city for $2.50. It has Vocal mix - radio edit, Grayed out deep house mix, 12" mix.
I'm not sure whether the one you saw was what I was talking about, but I really think it sounds more like energetic trance. If you've heard Legend B - Lost in love then you'll know what I mean, it's a similar feel. It's quite fast, whereas this Paul Oakenfold track is quite down-tempo and more like house music in comparison. Though I think the sound of the beat is a bit similar, as well as the atmospheric sounds, but theres no sign of the three twinkly sounds.
Do you agree?
I hope we can eventually find out!

Yeah it's like the Sysex Style mix. I've got that mix on Reactivate 10. BPM is either the same or slightly faster. The feeling of the music is very similar, but the tune of course is very different, less melody, with a slight melody in the bassline if you listen carefully.
I'm pretty sure it'll come on again, it's been used for maybe a year, seemingly at random time slots.

Next time you hear "This program was brought to you by...", don't immediately leave the couch, listen carefully to the background music, I'm pretty sure we'll all hear it again some time.
Hybrid Junkie, if what you're saying is true, then we are talking about one awesome energetic trance remix of a progressive house track... maybe it should be released onto vinyls CDs if it hasn't already!
