I was coming home from the cottage when I seen these fire trucks and smoke rising from houses not too far from the highway. I decided last minute to check it out. I parked the car as close to the smoky street as I could, grabbed my camera, dumped my family, and ran with the camera running to the street with the fire. When I got near the house a fireman told me I might get the camera taken away by the police as evidence (that didn't happen). The garage was completely on fire and inside was red hot with a car being burnt to a crisp. I don't think anyone was hurt as the ambulance just parked on the street. They kicked us all away from the area so they could do their work properly, but not before I got this footage.

Where in Brampton was this? Street?

From an insurance perspective this could be a costly claim. My recommended reserves would be:

Building - $175,000
Contents - $90,000
Additional Living Expenses - $40,000.00
Expert Fees - $10,000
Adjusting Fees - $25,000

Total - $340,000.00

Probably premium received for the year $1,000.00. Insurance company is now $339,000.00 in the hole.

The insurance company will come up with the money due to good investments. Insurance companies do not make money from pure premiums. They need to invest that money so they stand any chance of making profits, especially in Ontario. Just think, in order to actually make money from purely the premiums they would have to collect insurance for 340 years from these insureds just to cover this loss. To suggest the industry makes money for nothing just shows you know little to nothing about insurance. I would suggest the banks do a lot less for you then the insurance companies do.

I post it because it's the first time I ever caught anything like this on video, never mind seeing it in person. Don't try to twist it into anything else or try to read between the lines of something that doesn't exist. TA is full of non-music related videos, why should mine be any different?
