Yeah, or you can group multiple tracks and adjust them at once in some DAWs, etc. But, working with something like V-Control Pro or a dedicated MIDI controller app on a tablet is different and *more* like (i.e., not exactly) using an actual console because you can just put your fingers on the sliders, pan controls, plugins, etc. and adjust them independently on the fly without having to set up XY relationships, channel groups, etc. (which you can also do from some of these controller apps). As L4C mentioned, yes it's really just working as a controller, but it bridges the gap between QWERTY/mouse and touchscreen DAWs.
