Boy those went fast. I think the entire event sold out in 30 minutes. Even bottle service is all gone.

well if the last sellout at ruby skye was any indication, the door will be plastered with extra tickets selling at under face value, so im not especially concerned. they may actually add a second show this time too. Im on the waitlist for floor tickets anyway lets see how that goes

This practice of announcing a second gig a couple of days after tickets for the first go on sale seems to be becoming pretty prevalent. Any idea's why so many organizers are doing this? Is it to deter scalping?

I highly doubt they'd put on a second gig just to deter scalping. It's to cash in.

I guess, but I'm just wondering why they no longer announce both gigs together. This has happened for at least the last 5 big concerts (EDM & non EDM) that I plan to attend.
Could be a tentatively scheduled date that only gets confirmed if the first night sells out.

Yeah, I can confirm this.
Had to wait like 30 minutes for a friend and people were trying to sell their tickets for like $15 just so they could go inside.
