I'm buying a new mixer and i am drawn betweent the djm-600 and the djm-3000. Can anyone offer any advice on which one would be a better mixer. I'm leaning towards the 600 cos it would fit better in my set up space wise. Any suggestions

i have the 600 and luv it to pieces
i really like how everything is setup....there is enough room to get ur fingers on those EQs, etc.
i have not used the 3000 so i cannot give u my opinion on that
what i can say is...the DJM600 is an awesome mixer, and if you purchased it i dont think you'll regret it

I've got the 3000 and it does take a lot of space compared to the 600. I really chose it cos i got a great price on it and they couldn't get the 600 for a while. It's got three extra effects if your into that sort of thing, but i think the sampler on the 600 is a better deal than the extra effects. Best thing about it is the space between things if your a bit clumsy like me. And it's a lot cheaper too.

No sampler. That's why i want the 600. The mixer i have at the moment has a sampler but the sound quality is about the same as an old tape

pioneer mixers=over rated
search around
and you'll know it's over priced
ok it's quality , I won't deny it
but it's so over rated and you can't do shit with it .... there's a world outside the djm 600s

Yeah, I'm well aware of the other mixes out there, but i have a good reason for buying pioneer over vesrax or Allan & Heath.

man!
you all got pioneer mixers for 1000$ and for what??? to mix at home!?!?!?!? give me a break!
I got my mixer for 140$ (Phonic mixer) over 2 years ago and I'm very satisfied with it........
but on the other hand, I'm a mobile DJ and a bedroom DJ....... so I don't really do clubs..... I mean, do you get those things to get used to the applications in the clubs?? or what???
I'm sorry.... I just don't see the reason why waste 1000$ on top gear if you're using it only at home...........
anyone care to explain?

waste? what?
to me djing is a passion. I dont think it was a waste of money. It was an investment. One that I would do again if I had to go back in time.
I wanted the mixer before I even knew that Pioneer made dj equipment...i can remember watching some guy spin and he had this beautiful looking mixer with a silver finish. I can remember telling myself that i was going to one day have it.
Ive had 2 mixers before my DJM600 and they were ok...but nothing compared to my 600
