Pactra - Second Time *First track I've made, looking for opinions/advice*

Hey all,

Been teaching myself and working in FL Studio for about a month or two and made my first track. Looking for some serious critique/advice as I have no professional experience although I have played the saxophone for 10 years, so I have a musical ear.

I find this track influenced a bit by Deadmau5, Avicii, Tiesto. So please let me know what you think!

Thanks for your time!

Where to start? lol! I'm just kidding. Truthfully, the intro was a little long for me and there wasn't enough going on. When everything finally came in one thing that stood out was the kick. It sounded really good. As well as the bass although I'd fatten it out a little more. It sounded kind of narrow. So, on to the 1st melody. I thought it was decent but you are allowed to change octaves. Everything seemed bunched up in one key and it was heart to decipher all that was going on. But I did look deep and heard your elements and it was all there. The part that was hiding, I'd knotch that up an octave and that should be good.

Now on to the break.

Were you using a MIDI file? That arpeggio sounded more than decent but I couldn't make up mind if it was out of place or not- compared with the rest of the song. Which, means it probably needs a little more work.

Secondly, you did a great job at building up the drop but that bass needs to come in stronger. I only heard it a little at the beginning and it was a good bassline.

Lastly, fix those hi-hats at the last phrase and keep at it. Strong track.
