My comment was actually sarcastic. I made a new years resolution to be less pedantic, but I just can't help it. I recommend reading up on thermodynamics, as a starting point at least

It's drunken nonesense chemistry.
At reasonably normal pressures water isn't going to go straight from boiling to snow. Barring some kind've hectic particle accelerator setup (since temperature is after all an average). If people don't understand chemistry there's plenty of videos on khan academy on it on youtube.
