they sued the university of florida for allowing people on kazaa and what not. atleast this is what i heard, now my own university (florida state) is scared as fuck and is now limiting bandwidth and kicking anyone off who downloads too much. i guess they haven't noticed my 265GBs worth of data transfer in the past 7 weeks though
but i am scared now, so time to start renewing my ip every week. this is my guess on how they tell who downloads a lot. but i can't upload shit, cuz the bandwidth is so fucked, since we're all now capped. ******s.
but uf got sued for movies though. and thats what my uni cares about, downloading illegal copies of new movies. i don't even think they give a rats ass about mp3s or the riaa

What if everyone was sharing millions or even billions of USD in software and transferring it to each other in that uni.?

Hmm... I wonder if the record labels ever considered charging the internet providers?
I think a really simple solution to the whole mp3 thing would be to have the internet providers pay the record labels, which would in turn raise the price of the internet service, but at the same time, then we could d/l music and artists would still be getting paid for it. it would basically be like paying for the new AG, only you're paying for it whether or not you actually use that feature.

I only get mp3's through the TA DC hub now, and its passworded, so the RIAA cant get in to see what everyone is sharing. Of course, if they get bill they introduced (one of many) passed, they will legally have the right to hack and DDoS the hell out of your machine if they "suspect" you have copyrighted works on there. Basically they'ed become immune from the law and can pretty much cause your whole computer to remotely detonate if they want. Btw, this law would only apply to them, and not individual copyright holders.
