I ran down my top 5 Guy J records. I'm also trying to get recommendations from people on some of his other records that you guys love. Let me know what's hot!!
Good producer and I like some of his stuff, but is he really as good as people make him out to be? A lot of what I've heard tends to be bland and lacking imagination although technically superb.

I can go on and on, but his remix of Way Out West's Tuesday Maybe probably takes the cake for me. His remix of Circulation's Turquoise is a close second. Maybe this is just because the source material was so good though lol.
If we're talking about original productions, along with Lamur, the A side of a release back in 2008 did it for me for some odd reason (Fall Star). The B side of that release, Lunar, is also quite tasty. Fixation is also really good, even if it was a clear homage to Andy Ling's original.
Maybe this is just my collection and my preference, but I find his remixes stay with me more than his original productions.

Kind of my thought. He's never done it for me as a DJ in the settings in which I've seen him, but I like his productions a lot.
Agree with all the recommends here -- great and obvious. Surprised the 1000 Words album wasn't highlighted, though. Teva is an edgier banger that rips. Like that one.

I actually feel the same, although I know that’s generally an unpopular opinion.
I'm in agreement too.
People seemed to be very keen on 'Modular' and 'Small Alarms' recently but they done nothing for me.
Got to give him Kudos for consistency in the label though.
When it comes to the Israeli prog musician "Guys", I rank them Gerber > J > Mantzur. Back when prog was having a bit of an identity crisis and "mnml" was dominating everything in its path, Guy J's tech-prog (or "prog-no" as I've heard it be called) stuff was a breath of fresh air. A lot of his stuff is hit-or-miss, his more melodic tracks I dig but the more stripped down, raw tracks, don't really stand the test of time for me.

Throw my hat in this ring too. I'd actually say it's quite a common verdict on Guy J. He's the poster boy of the modern cookie cutter prog sound. Some of his tracks are quite useful in a set, but few stand out as exceptional.
