Friday 325

So I absent-mindedly hit my external hard drive with my foot and it fell over and is now broken, apparently? Fun times. Being extremely intelligent and holding a PhD from a prestigious university, I, of course, have no back up. Oops.

Weekend plans now include looking into data recovery specialists. What's on your docket?

I have a PC with a sketchy motherboard, and it's fried 1 internal 4TB drive and 2 external USB hard drives. It works fine, otherwise, but I quit plugging shit into the front USB ports long ago. Hate that you lost data, mang, that sucks.

It was mostly porn, prog, and noir films, so nothing life changing, thankfully. But a good reminder to start backing-up data more, etc. And not put my external HD on the floor...

Damn...prog and noir films. Pr0n is easily and freely obtainable. The other two, not so such. I shall pour one out for your loss.

Having owned so many old and sketchy computers over the years and having multiple HD crashes, the idea of lost data means very little to me. The only important thing we have saved and backed up now between myself and my husband is our wedding photos.

I did lose school work once or twice, but I always hand wrote first drafts of everything, fortunately.

Most recently I lost a basically brand new SSD from my laptop, because the fucking thing wasn't screwed in properly (as was discovered when the repair shop opened it up). Whole thing completely compromised. I actually suspect it came loose because of the cleaning girls lifting and moving it... But that's just an assumption heh.

Anyway, I'm working this weekend. Have a birthday party on Sunday then off all next week. Weather is supposed to be great!

Thank you, Ted, but, no, thank you.

How are you enjoying all those deep conspiracy books?

Not as good as some of this used porn. I’ll even throw in a DivX codec if you need one.

After a brief stint as a dance music dj I embarked on a career as a porn dj. I became the ultimate selector of some of the best and little known porn and would tour from dialysis clinic to dialysis clinic playing some of my favorite clips, displaying them to each jaundiced and pallored patron, pilloried on a gurney with a needle in their arm. I constructed these clips into what I would consider to be the ultimate porn. I’m not sure if those at the dialysis clinics would agree with my assessment of the porn sets I concocted, but I know I had a good time.
