Hopefully it won't be closed forever. It probably won't....I just love how the city closes these clubs down here and there just to shake them up. Anyone remeber Sound Factory closing for one weekend in 99?? The city claimed because of drug use and selling...but they were opened the next weekend. Seems like Twilo is facing accusations of several violations....fire exits, not have a cabaret liscense (that is in appeal) and also being accused of selling and using drugs by patrons. We'll see how long this battle goes on! But heck yeah if it's not opened by June I'm gonna be mad as heck!! I hear Ferry Cortsten is spinning June 1st and I know PvD is June 8th! But lets say Twilo doesn't re-open.....what will we do to hear these dj's? Do you think they would just take up residencies at other clubs in the city? I wonder what would happen!

Well, there is speculation that the club might reopen elsewhere. Hopefully, if that does happen maybe we can look for a bigger and better Twilo? As for the dj's is Ferry Corsten really coming june 1st? I definitely got to go then. Back To Back amazing Dj's in the first week of june.

hey, i don't know if anyone noticed but, the website is down also. This does not bode well. I pray that they will reopen soon.

DJ...you mention that Twilo might open somewhere else...I doubt the city would give a cabaret liscense to the same management whom they are trying to pin against the wall now. Plus having to construct a new club could take months. Our best bet is that the city drops everything or that Twilo wins in court over these battles. I'm not to worried b/c for years Twilo has escaped the wrath of Gulliani. Sound Factory, Twilo, Limelight have all been shut down at one time or another and they are all still in business. If the city allows Peter Gatien's clubs to be open then I can't see why they would have such a hard time with Twilo continuing operation. Gulliani likes to make headlines to try and convince the people of NY that he's cleaning up the city...what doesn't get headlines is how these clubs re-open soon afterwards. The worst part about it is that there are a few kids who take the partying too far and cause their own fatalities or problems and it ruins the fun for the rest of us who are truly there for the musik.

I don't think Twilo's residents will play anywhere else plus the other clubs can't afford them. It will re open...but no one can speculate when.

Well, I'm not so worried that the club will reopen but, when? PVD is approaching and it would really suck if we were to miss the performance over the lock down. I only go every two months so if i miss Pvd it means i must wait until august 2nd @ Amnesia which i just booked. Thanx Twilo Goddess, for letting me know the site is up. It was down the other day. As for the other clubs opening here, i guess its a good thing. Hopefully, we will see more of PVD in NY?

What I have heard about TWILO's closing is if/when TWILO re-opens it will probably be after the court date (JUNE 21 I believe is the date). Thus, no PVD if this is true nor Digweed at the end of May nor Pappa on May 12!!!!
