1.)
claz.nl had 2 close - they say they were forces to, because livesets are also illegal... check here www.claz.nl

2.)
tracklistings.org was shut down by Radio1 - they only posted the tracklists to the essential mixes, not even the sets...

3.)
livesets.nl seems to be closed down too!


What is going on here? Did they something wrong or can some organisation like RIAA or BREIN close down sites just because they offer uncopyrighted sets? I'm afraid this could happen to even more sites...

Please, someone has to tell me that this is just a bad dream!

Who cares. Drugs, pirating games/programs/movies and a lot more shit is illegal and that doesn't stop people .

Making it illegal will just make it more fun to have.

Livesets have always been illegal, it's just that record companies tend not to care as much about their copying and distributing as they do when albums are concerned.

That is just plain BS. As far as I know, Livesets are not copyright, and can be recorded and shared. Unless it's off the radio (ie:Radio 1) , or it's copyrighted somehow.

Cd's are illegal, anything distributed through a record company is illegal. Recording livesets goes way back to the 60's.

People listening to trance sets, are just the same as the Dead heads back in the 60's who use to record Greatful dead concerts and share them, they take away the livesets, they kill the music..simple as that.

I'm not afraid that I won't get any new sets - there are a lot of alternatives 2 websites (soulseek, dc(++), emule/edonkey...)

But I liked the idea that there IS a legal way to get 2 free music - listening to internet-streams is free - recording these sets is legal too! But if you aren't allowed 2 trade your stuff - LEGAL stuff of course - that's against the idea of the internet in my opinion! Why should EVERY1 record EVERY set?? Imagine - thousands of people trying 2 get onto the most wanted streams! They'll need a LOT of bandwidth for that!

Anyway - I have bought most of my cd's because i was impressed by live-performances! I would never have bought one because of a single track played in the radio or tv (most of these remixes suck anyway)! Because of the great community out here I've stumbled across DJ's I've never heard of before - does the industry only want popular DJ's getting recognized??

I don't think DJ Tiesto would have become DJ of the year, if there weren't so many livesets available from him!

There are a lot of (mostly personlal) websites out there, which have built a HUGE community - it won't be the same without the possibility for unexperienced users to download sets!

well that is fucking stupid. I for one listen to live sets get the track listing to find the songs i like and usually own em a few weeks later fuck all these ass holes. God i hate pissy coorperations dont they realise all there bullshit is making em loose more cash...
