I was wondering why these are praised. I have used some Gold ones? at a Gig but you can't have an opinion on that.

Please don't post if these are the only Carts you've used. That is not an unbiased and experienced evaluation unless you say otherwise??

So Why would they be better than my Groove II's, well used I must add??? Please give answers to SELL me on Orto's, I have never researched them. Models, price, ect.

I have one ortofon nightclub, and one stanton trackmaster 2. I have to say that ortofon really does make a difference. You could easily tell by how it sounds. Also I have to increase the tonearm weight on my trackmaster then my ortofon nightclub. I know Ortofon is much more expensive than Stanton and there is a reason for it. I would buy Ortofon over Stanton anyday.

i actually switched from the groove masters to the nightclub s's... at first i just got them becuase i heard they were better and it was time for me to change needles. i noticed that they have alot more detail especially in the upper trebble.... it made me imagine more sensitive needle that catches the smallest movements that are requred to produced very high pitched noises... and i guess with that sensitivity, i noticed that evrything was much more crisp. i just switched headphones from the sony v700s to the sennheiser hd280pro and the sound quality for switching needles was similar in that the nightclubs made the groovemasters sound a bit muddy. im not sure... it may be psychological but at the same time i know that i have a good enough ear to hear these things. oh and the gold ortofons are the same thing as the nightclub e's

So your saying that u would rather buy a more expensive needle but would u buy a more expensive mixer.

If my opinion, if you need to sell your equipment for some reason, it is better off to have good equipment right off the bat. Equipment such as DJM-500 or 600 and 1200 mk2s. You will lose money no matter what (since it has been used) but atleast you will get more money than selling a gemini mixer and gemini turntables. I already have a Pioneer DJM-500. I had a Gemini mixer (only used it for 6 months) that I got for like $300 bucks, and I barely sold it to this guy for $150.
