That's why I use the pitch slider for most adjustments. If I have to touch it it's on the pin or right near it. Never the outside of the record. You're just asking for a skip or slide.

Good call on that stuff, i usually bring an assortment of goodies in the bag, but was always left my slipmats in the bag for some reason.
Would anyone ever consider putting the wax-paper underneath the slip mats in a club?
In all the clubs i have spun at, i've never seen the wax paper sheet used underneath the slip mats.
I personally use it all the time when working in the studio, but wonder now if that is a bad thing if the clubs never seem to use it.
(It kind of sucks having nice equipment at home in the studio, when most of the clubs' setups are more ghetto and beat up.... it defeats the purpose at times.)
