Alrighty, I figure it's time that I come out and let the wrath of the TA community strike my DJing skills. I know my obvious deficiences (when two tracks clearly failed to be beat matched or when a record skips), but I'd appreciate insight from the elders in regards to more nuanced stuff (transition timing, track selection, etc).

Hey all,
I've had a bunch of people listen to my 2.12.03 set (posted above) and gotten very good feedback. Can anybody suggest more tracks that would have the same feeling as those tracks? I think it's kinda a unique set, but I'd love to expand upon it.

Can you highlight specific examples of songs that don't mesh well?
I don't think i could give you specific exmaples of songs.... I mean ur mix just doesn't have the energy, flow, vibe. Is this your warm up set?

Well, it's not supposed to be uptempo/energetic. Not the kinda set i would spin in a club, it's more of a chill out approach (or that's what it was supposed to be).
hahahah you would be a great radio DJ...perhaps you could spin for c89.5 You could team up with Dustin

eh, you win, chill out was definitely the wrong term. The idea behind including Ema Shapplin - Spente Le Stelle (Yomanda Dub) was to keep up the theme of orchestral strings that Adagio started.
I'll grant that it certainly got more energetic towards the end than the set began, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Though I get the hint that it ain't your favorite flavor of mix.
hahahah, nah man. You've got potentials Just practice more, and you will develop your own style. I don't consider myself a DJ but I could pitch bend and match the beats within like 5 seconds. (Something I learned from Aaron )
But keep up the good work.....
one more thing, instead of baning three drives - carrera 2 (original) why dont you flip the record over and bang nu nrg's version of it? just a thought.....
