Hello! Will you change your mind?

Here goes the question;

In the upcoming war on Iraq, if the US forces uncover Weapons of Mass Destruction that Iraq has denied to posses, and the Weapon Inspectors claimed to not know of or discovered, will you then change your mind?

Will you change your mind, believing the Bush does indeed tell the truth, that he does seek to disarm Iraq, and so forth?

I on the otherside, I will be outrightly disappointed if President Bush does not find weapons of mass destruction. Especially since he has rallied the war call around it, I will have a genuine distrust of him and further government officials if it is indeed found out that they had nothing.

So honestly, will you come here a month (or shorter or longer, however long the war will last) if and when Weapons of Mass Destruction are found and apologize for your views, and be willing to change them? I for one am.

tiesto14, thanks for replying instead of me.

I for one never said Iraq shouldn't be disarmed. But I did say that it should be disarmed through UN inspections rather than through US military intervention. If Saddam indeed does launch hundreds of chemical rockets that will do a lot of damage, I will admit I underrated his military potential. I'll also admit that Bush was right about Saddam having WOMDs, so then the military action was needed. But I still stand by my opinion that the UN inspectors should have been given US intelligence aid on the whereabouts of WOMDs, if there are any. And if Iraq would refuse to destroy them once/if they're found, then a military intervention would be justified. It's like a policeman arresting a known criminal that will get a death penalty. He can kill him on the spot, which is what is going to happen to the criminal anyway, but he still needs to take him to the court.

Be Cool!

DO u know how easy it is to move a few trucks into another arab friendly nation in the area? What people dont really consider is that most of the naighboring nations are often on the same page and sitck together in some ways.

KLINGKLANG77 and Nadi, so what do you base your opinion of war on? Is war on Iraq ever justified? And will you change your minds if they prove this justification after/durning the war?

As for Tiesto, although he may be arrogant, so far he is correct in his assumption of your position. All those opposed, have said almost nothing can happen but the far extreme to change their opinion.

Vesa...WELL SAID

but this is what I dont get, North Korea has made direct threats to the US, admitted they have WMDs..not to mention nuclear power, intimidates US forces(eg. tailing a spy plane recently)..and all bush says is peaceful negotiation. Iraq poses no visible threat...denies having WMDs and has been quiet for many years...yet Bush calls on war.
Logic..anyone?

im sure US has satellite images that will zone into this activity. Not only will they be able to see truck movement...but into which country, in turn throwing in a special ops mission into that country to confirm/deny these weapons have been moved.
Btw..these aint pieces of furniture you just shove into a U-Haul and move. These weapons must be kept in certain conditions and they take up a good amount of space. To the extent of a military amount...you're talking about an entourage of trucks. The US intel have not make a clear accusation on this basis but only refers to very vague satellite pictures. Again, its all mickey mouse until they find it.

that was a very childish comment, no offense. You do not have the authority nor the mentality to answer for anyone else on the board...and frankly, judging by your latter comment, your maturity isnt up to par either.

I would like to...but I probably wouldnt.
I would have given the US full amount of respect if their superior Intel found...discovered any WMDs during inspection or through peaceful means. And lets be honest, Bush did rush into this. Lets put innocent civilians aside, look at how much damage this will cause among countries(eg. european union..united nations etc.). Hussein may be hiding WMDs, but this aint the way to go. IRAQ, in terms of technology, is nothing compared to the US. Why have we not found anything so far? we own virtually all the satellites hovering in orbit above us, have surveillance planes flying around yet we must resort to war for Iraq to throw up these weapons? Sorry bro, I dont buy that. Im not shitting on Iraq, but I just dont like the way the US government approached it.
The worldwide outcry that you see is not because if American hating..its because Bush is in no grounds to start a war. And this sort of stupidity by a superior in a country that is highly looked up by the rest of the world is sad. Im proud to be canadian/american but this certainly takes the cake of worst times in the US.

Yoepus jus by the number of responses to your question should go and show u that these people are anti-American no matter what we do....no matter what they will find a way to say we are wrong...even if we are right...

If we rolled into Iraq and found 2000 Nukes they would all say we are wrong....morons that they are.....
