yeahhh...do you live on the west coast? hehe. cause i heard in LA all these 'wannabe' ravers and shit go around sayin' oh i rave...i listen to trance...i drop....blah blah blah when all they listen to is shit by mystik. *shrugs* i don't care for him much. shitty vibe he has goin' on.

Dj Mystik (http://www.hypnotika.org) hails from San Diego and i can definently say he is no where NEAR the San Diegian version of PVD or tiesto or such. About a year ago, the rave scene went from 0 to 100 among asian teens. Dj Mystik came out with a MESS of cds for the asian teen raver community (most of which were UTTER CRAP).
I'm not an asian, or a raver yet, but i've listened to most of his music and most of it is asian trance. Lately, his work has matured (ever since the teen raver scene died down) with his latest pieces of ork such as Crystal Skies.

youre right for the most part..of how mystik became big because of the rave explosion in cali....i dont necessarily think he made the cds for the "asian teen community"....it goes with the whole scene over there...all those candy ravers are newbies to the music scene..and what mystik makes is theyre type of music..so ofcourse he'd get popular....
same thing for here in nyc.....Tony Draper...fits the same thing...but i'd say...Draper is somewhat better..

hell yeah all these ravers think they are cool or try to be like a raver which i dont really give a damn but damn.. we have this survey shit for school and someone said their fav artist or group.was dj mystik ...wtf is that.. damn newbies i hate them they think they know trance and i hate it when ppl assume you're a raver if you listen to trance ahhh ..

I've heard some of DJ Mystik's CDs from a friend who brought them back from LA and they are not really trance, it's more of a dance/pop with maybe a couple of trancy tunes. We should all educate and enlighten those who think that this stuff is trance otherwise how will they know any better, whoever they got this CD from probably told them that Mystik was trance.

I wouldn't say that this stuff is made for the SoCal asian teen community, it's just that a lot of people don't know any better. Teach them...

hehe i dont like teaching people the music i like, cause then tehy gonna spread it to their newbieism group (umm yeah) yeah that sight hyp something has some dj mystik cds...for some reason all the songsa say they are by dj mystik..waht a prick. i may not rave but i know more better music than those ravers..
