All I have to say is that bashing French people and boycotting French stores and stuff comes to show how immature and low many Americans can get.

First of all, France has been our most important ally for the past 250 years. Just because France is not in support with the war doesn't mean they are wrong. France, to the U.S., is like a best friend; it tells you what is right to do, not what you want to hear. France is not a yes-man that agrees with every action the U.S. takes. France is allowed to oppose the war if it wants to, but it doesn't mean they are evil or hate America. They are doing what they feel is in the best interests of everyone.

So, for all you Americans who are using the terms "freedom fries" or "freedom toast", it just comes to show how immature you all really are.

No joke. I really do not thing the USA is in error of this position. It did not isolate itself from the French, the French have isolated themselves from the USA. The question is not how (ever will) the USA should reconclie with France, but how will France (ever) reconclie with the USA?

You seem to indict here the French ppl in its entirety, while it is most likelihood the vandalism of an extremely disillusioned few. I'm sure the overwhelming majority of the French ppl do not hold the same views as these perpetrators, and are reacting as equally in disgust at this horrific crime as we are.

PS this was done at cemetery for UK troops, not US.

- IM disgusted at how the Republicans are acting against the french, though Im not surprised by it, cry babys. Also, Im disgusted how the french did that on the cementery. They are auto-building hate against each other even more, but with American governors making laws and such against the"french fries" for an example is plain ridiculous, something the French governors aren't doing. But anyways, this sucks. Also, that swastika was done as calling BUSH a Nazi, not by just placing it in there and doing it as if they were Nazi's just to clear any misunderstanding of it.. in any way, it shouldn't have been done on a cementery.

Agreed with what you said Occrider, but just to ever so specific and technical , it was two (Republican ) representatives who 'offically' presided over the changing of names on the cafe menu. I don't remember the names, but I did see a picture of them doing it and I do remember one is from Ohio (the other was from a Southern state). But you're absolutely right, ppl are extremely overreacting and things are getting drawn out way too far.

Yes I stand corrected. However the way liquidxx is portraying it, it sounds like this is an american law going into effect all throughout the country ... it's not. It's a dumb idea passed in one cafateria. At any rate, if this starts happening to american cemetaries public outrage over here would be immense. Nobody over here would forgive the french, even if it were just a stupid bunch of protestors. Let's hope they don't do anything else retarded ...

First of all Im not Liquidxx Im LiquidX ( There's another dude on the board with Liquidxx so I should specify that ).

Secondly, I don't know what it sound it like to you or whatever, but I clearly said that some American governors placed in law, wherever the place was, as you said, the management of the house and pentagon or whichever place in whasington they felt like needed to change the name "french fries" to "freedom fries". I never said it was throughout the country..if it sounded like that, then sorry for not been more specific. The other thing that I find rediculous is the way this governors are trying to like stated "State Rep. Almond Gaston Crowe, a Republican from Slidell, has said he is preparing a legislative
resolution to rescind Chirac's invitation."
