also, i agree other artists have similar sound. armin definately does, corsten yes, A&B yes. Tiesto has most dynamic sound out of them all, I have heard remixes by Tiesto and not known it is by him. That is they key, can you listen to some track or remix, and guess who it is by? I'm not saying all of your productions should always sound unique and diference from one another, just ONCE in a while, vary it a little? Produce something that nobody ever thought you would do. PUNK - Ferry Corsten. He showed us his different style and influence there. I challenge PVD to do the same. Tiesto has done it many times. Armin, still, has more dynamic sound than PVD.

I have to also say, PVD is not as bad as artist like Cosmic Gate (TOTAL the same), SHOKK (same), Foggy and other artist. There are many more that are stuck with same kick drum and same production technik. Hiver & Hamer is one of the worst, all remixes sound same.

but, still I listen to H&H...... it is good music. goods thing is, you like one track, you will like all the rest. it is good marketing tactic.

| Doesnt anybody realize this applies to most bands or artists. If you hear a Linkin Park or a Sum 41 song you know it is by them. Most bands have a signature sound. They will work outside of that sound but for the most part they keep to their general style. I can tell you from years of listening what band is playing a song witin the first fifteen seconds of hearing most tunes. Why should this not apply to trance or techno tunes also. |

good point Ramone Weild, however do you not feel that electronic music has much greater possibilty of production changes and variety than kind of music SUM41 and Linkon Park make? All they have is drums, bass, and guitar. Not much electronic content. WIth electronic music, it is a blank slate, and anything can be created. Therefore, there is greater possibility for diversity. Also I do not think it accurate to compare PVD to those bands.

see armin, tiesto, ferry, above&beyond, johan gielen, dumonde, etc... it does not apply to Paul only, but to many artist/producers in the scene.
- Paul sounds changes usually in 2 - 3 years. his sound from 1998/1999 is not the same as todays. the one currently is quite more complex and well structured. |
sorry fox...but his musik is not more complex than back in the day
pvd-nothing vs. pvd -words for love?.....
u decide |

| The only people that care if he sounds the same are the people that don't enjoy his music. If you like his music then similar tracks you will like too. Personally I don't think PvD is that great, and I agree that having seen him a couple of times and hearing many sets, they bore me. That is not to say he is or talentless mind you, and I'm certainly not jumping on any bandwagon here, just voicing my opinion. |

i totally agree pvd is total crap. i just happened to listen to politics of dancing the other day and i noticed he used the same damn bass kick for like 13 straight songs... it was in garbage... i literallly yanked the cd out of player and tossed it out the window going 70mph. i mean trance is general is crap anyway, but pvd is defiently one of the most boring djs ive ever heard/seen
dont believe the hype |
