in terms of accomplishments and skill, i'd have to go tiesto as a producer. u can't go pass all his successful collaborations, and his compilation album, damn the guy has really shown the versatility of his sound. adding on top of that his success as dj [tho not specified] with his magik n isos series, in terms of tracklist programming. there's the package right there.
however, disregarding accomplishments, i'm really diggin the sounds of neo n farina which i'd luv to produce. class remixes of callin ur name, rococco, and their tune mondial [awesome breakbeat breakdown!], which i dun think gets as much respect as it deserves. not to mention their new tunes someone n binary refined [remake of binary finary?]
on the other side of the spectrum, james holden. pure ingenuity, which gives u an out of body experience in all his tunes. guy's definitely gotta be "in space" while he produces! |

Benno De Goeij! He's an absolute genius, comprising the likes of: Rank 1 (w/ Piet Bervoets), Control Freaks (w/ Tijs), Kamaya Painters (w/ Tijs), SPX, The Quest, Dutch Force... to name a few.
I also find the Above & Beyond / Oceanlab crew to have similar production qualities, absolutely love their work.
But of course, Ferry is #1... not that I could ever "be" him. I don't think I could fill his shoes :) |
