Hey guys... just wondering where i could buy this product. I think its going to replace vinyl soon becuase of its "vinyl" option. I decided just recently that it would be a waste of money to buy turntables. Judge Jules told me on friday that it will eventually take over the market. He even tried to show me how Cd's dont skip compared to vinyl.

Anyway, does anyone know where in Toronto i can get a pair of them?

Contact one of the larger equipment stores. I'm pretty sure they cost around $4000.00 each unit.

And you believed this wanker...?

Well, if you really wanna get one of those, try Long & McQuade (or whatever the spelling is for that), and I'm pretty sure they are around $2500-3000 each. Or look them up on eBay or something for half that price...

Vynil is dying... and cd is winning. Thats a fact. Being behind the decks and watching pvd, corsten and picotto, i can tell you that much of their sets are cd. It will eventually replace vinyl.

ok well how will the artists make any money at all than? Hmm, anyone can burn a copy of the track before it's out on vinyl. So where is the exclusivity issue than? I see a lot of dj's spin tracks on CD's where the promos are not even available on vinyl, but I highly doubt it's gonna be replaced very soon. And if you do get CDJ-1000's let me know how it's going about a month later with getting a hold of all the tracks you want and than tell me how the CD's are taking over vinyl. Unless you burn your own tracks or personally know all the DJ's and producers in the world you won't have jack to show for on the CD's... I don't think the vinyl is going away for a while. But yet there are alternatives... also check out "Final Scratch" ( www.stantonmagnetics.com ) and DN-S5000 (that's gonna ing own CDJ-1000 IMO)

You can play two tracks at the same time from one CD, you can eject the disk and will continue to play the music from that CD for 35 seconds after you eject it. You can beatmatch one track to another from one CD... it also has the world's first spining rotary wheel so that it full emulates vinyl unlike CDJ-1000 (don't get me wrong it's still a really good CDJ) and a load more stuff... more info bellow at the link.....

here is more about DN-S5000: http://www.denon.ca/paline/papro03.html

if you decide to get the denons that the only dealership around Toronto area is in Burlington check the website above for more info....

oh and BTW almost forgot! Most CD players on the market don't support computer burned CD's and I think CDJ-1000 is one of them, so good luck with all your CD spinning only!
