I wish I had been able to see Leftfield take down plaster from the high sound of the concert at brixton academy 1995. Classic one that got them kicked off stage!
Sand Leaper
Most of my concert experiences have been at the Quart Festival in my home town,Kristiansand, which yearly hauls in lots of big artists. Here are my personal highlights, noted with which year they are from:

1.Leftfield (2000) (Bass was so loud my hair stood on end on the back of my neck.Nuff said.Oh,and the live version of Afrika Shox is ing immense:disbelief)

2.Fatboy Slim (1999) (Who else than the Fatboy has the creativity to mash up Mr.Oizo - Flat Beat with Michael Jackson - Bad?No one.Add the fact that he got 2500 people ranging from rockers, hiphopers to technonerds together in the mosh pit in one of the most narrow-minded cities ever, and this man is a genious.)

3.Massive Attack (1999) (A dark and sinister display of raw psychedelia.I'll never forget when the first sounds of "Group Four" came raging out of the speakers.Total goosebump city.)

4. ..And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead (2002) (Raw hardcore aggression from start to finish, and the crowd went nuts.I pity the guy who had to stand with his ear up against the monitors thru almost the entire concert.Cos they played LOUD.)

5.D'Angelo (2000) (Who cares if this man has a huge ego.The fact remains that he makes some of the funkiest, grooviest and most infectious soul music that ever existed.Live it's even better.)

6.Kid Koala & Bullfrog (2000) (Tuntablism at its finest,Scratchscratchratcharatch Pt.1 ownz you all.Add the wicked interaction they had with the crowd, and this was one of the nicest concerts in my life.

7.Calexico (2000) (The mix of smoked out desert funk and a good dash of mexican flavor(they had five mexicans with guitars with them, who even played a tune from "Desperado":D) made a huge impact on me when I saw them, totally unaware of who they were. They remain one of my favourite bands to date.)

8.3rd Bass (2000) (MC Surge:"Now,I want all the people in front to tell the people in the back to make some ing noise!!!" Crowd in the front:"MAKE SOME ING NOISE!!!!!" MC Surge:"Now,I want all the people in the back to tell the people in front to shut the up!!!" Crowd in the back:"SHUT THE UP!!!!" Now that's crowd hyping.:clown: Add some mad freestyling skills and wicked beats, and I'm not complaining.)

9.Múm (2002) (Another talent from Iceland that really got their liveskills down. From beautiful string compositions to eardrum shattering noise electronica, these guys did it all.)

10.Teebee & K (1999) (Two of Norway's biggest drum 'n bass talents did a livegig outside. There wasn't much of a crowd, and they had some sound problems, but once they got going, there was no stopping the brutal subbass monster that came prowling out of the speakers.)

As you can see,a wide range of different artists on this festival.Fits my taste very well:happy2:

, Beastie Boys, forgot about them. The Doors would have been insane too. Jefferson Airplane, but I'm not sure it would be fun with the amount of acid you'd have to be on.
I just found out Bob Dylan will be in Orlando next month. WTF? I didn't know the man was still alive much less still touring. Anyway, I've gotta get to that, the man changed music forever.
And Nirvana was on my list but I'd forgotten Notorious BIG, so they had to be bumped down.

As for the guy that said "get out of mainstream" or whatever...Dude...I could say all these TRance and DnB DJs or something but there is a good chance I'll see most of them. I mean, I would have seen pretty much all my DJ idols at Ultra had that not gotten messed up, so whats the point? Mainstream or not the concerts I listed would be insane, as would most of the ones others have said. Some mainstream music is good, there is no denying.

I''ve gotta see Radiohead when I'm in Europe next year. They don't play over here much and I don't think it would be the same. Speaking of...does anyone have any live Radiohead sets? I mean other than "The Live Recordings"...Exit Music live?
