i was on the forums in www.sector-one.org and people were posting something like "half-life (CLS)" or "rune - CLS." what does the CLS stand for?
..and, i think it was infinity that recommended sector-one to me...are there any more sites like this that anyone knows of?
...by the way...if you don't know this site, it has a forum where people post public ftp sites with cool downloads. |

| CLS? that's short for CLASS. people who crack and rip games/programs usually identify that it's THEIR rip by placing their tag beside the program name. MYTH is another one. there's A LOT. |

...not that i will benefit from it for a few days anyway...but when i do go to DSL later this week or next, i'll wanna be downloadin' some good .

hmm...i don't really like to rely on websites for warez. unpredictable and 90% of them don't work.
did you try figuring out how mIRC works yet rockster?? you'll find EVERYTHING and i do mean everything, on there. |

well...i kinda got confused when i was on it the other day...i was in a channel and all i saw on the screen was a bunch of messages that seemed to be advertising something...there were a few real people in the channel and, i don't know who it was but, someone kept "pm"ing me asking me to send them porn pictures. then i got scared and left.
...i've just been having fun on some of the public ftps that are posted on sector-one. i've gotten some small files such as:
norton anti-virus 2001 for win2K
steinberg wavelab
atlantis (the game) --> 100+ MB ...took me all night to download.
...oh yeah...got some pam anderson pics too. |

Actually you can get most everything in the newsgroups these days, yeah I like IRc as well, but it is in' saturated...you'll be in queues for like 5 hours.
for Irc you have to learn about xdcc, ctcp, and fserves(usually begin with a "!"). Its not too difficult and a lot of rooms have help files to get you on your way. most popular irc server is effnet:
irc.prison.net port 6667
irc.mcs.net port 6667
i use these, but there are several more....just download mIRC from mirc.com.
some good newsgroup clients are newsbinpro and newsbot.
