I just bought a pair of ex-hire mk2 technics sl1200 from my local dj shop in a sale they just had for £150 but there's a problem with one of them.
When i press the stop button the platter doesn't stop immediately, but also, when popping up the light or moving the pitch fader away from zero causes the motor to speed up momentarily which doesn't help much when mixing.
Is this a common problem or should i be worried? |

the breaking can be fixed by removing the platter and unscrewing the cover and then adjusting the blue knob that says 'break' or something like that. can't remember. haven't done it in a while.
and for the pitch. i know there a way to fix it with something but it requires special tools to measure something... there are some websites that can help but i don't have the urls handy. |
