I love poetry. I've written for years. I've got books of stuff I gotta getonline one day. I used to have a website with a poetry and rhymes section on it, sinc eI write hip-hop too(no, not that bling-bling bandaid on your cheek bull) but I'm not even sure if that site is still up.
I do have some poetry message boards bookmarked with good poets residing at them, if anyone is interested. Its a good way to get your stuff heard and get input on it. |

The moon was bright,
like sunny delight,
it sang a mighty song.
What sings today,
echos tomorrow,
it may seem quite the gander,
but its a quiet wisper.
Will I be,

I cry for the tear not shed before

Have you ever loved someone and they had absolutely no idea whatsoever? Or fell for your best friend in the whole entire world, and then sat around and watched him/her fall for someone else? Have you ever denied your feelings for someone because your fear of rejection was too hard to handle? We tell lies when we are afraid… afraid of what others will think, afraid of what will be found out about us. But every time we tell a lie….the thing we fear grows stronger.
Have you ever noticed that the worst way to miss someone is when they are right beside you and yet you can never have them…. When the moment you can’t feel them under your fingertips you miss them?
Have you ever wondered which hurts the most; saying something and wishing you had not, or saying nothing and wishing you had? I guess the most important things are the hardest things to say. Don’t be afraid to tell someone you love them. If you do, they might break your heart.. but if you don’t, you might break theirs.
Have you ever decided not to become a couple because you were so afraid of losing what you already had with that person? Your heart decides who it likes and who it doesn’t. You cant tell your heart what to do. It does it on its own.. when you least suspect it, or even when you don’t want it to.
Have you ever wanted to love someone with everything you had, but that person was too afraid to let you? Too many of us stay walled because we are too afraid to care too much.. for fear that the other person does not care as much, or that all life is all about risks and it requires you to jump. Don’t be a person who has to look back and wonder what they would have or could have had.
No one waits forever…

Therefore I made the great escape

No matter where one tries to go
Different forms of conflict will probably appear.
Sources of conflict are not always shown,
Even when those sources are near.
Whether nature, an animal, or another human being,
Internal conflict will add complications.
One has to be sure about what they are seeing
For personal problems and wars between nations.
Misunderstanding leads to ideas that are wrong
Which in turn can lead to trouble.
Conflict is a far too familiar song.
People want to solve it on the double.
Stress caused from conflict can make people ill,
Yet the power of love is greater still.

Have you ever felt engulfed in the darkness, suspended by the light above? Yet all you can see is darkness, all you can feel is empty. The whispers call to you, the words caress your face like a lovers first kiss.
Trapped inside you a feeling of loneliness. On the inside I ache for home but on the outside yearn for change. To feel my heart beat again with the sound of whispers. When I look around at this vast empty space I wonder when it was I fell into my slumber. His face is what called me awake. His whispers that softly caress my face as I sleep, that make my heart beat when he wonders in on one of my thoughts.
I can see him as he walks in circles in my mind. Will we find our way home? Will our vast darkness merge into one so that the light we are both suspended upon will raise us above ourselves.
