I was just going to say this. It depends on the DJ, and they have to adjust the levels for every track they play to make sure the sound isn't distorted...which can get difficult!!

cause the sound is so low at Stereo... you'll never have distortion :D

aaah the classic chicken and egg dilemma...

do i like stereo coz of their music or do i like the music there coz its stereo?

lol

i like stereo coz of the better sound and vibe...it really is by music lovers for music lovers...its down to earth..

"cause the sound is so low at Stereo... you'll never have distortion"

and about distortion...shouldn't you stop increasing volume BEFORE there's distortion or am i wrong?

the sound is..how do i say...i can't find the word in english but i'd say cheaply or unrefined loud...loud for the sake of being loud...

morsi translate ghasheem plz :gsmile:

morsy im gonna kick his ass:P

I dont care how loud a system is. It should not distort on the high pitches the way aria's does. It ruins the music. It's especially bad for trance djs. God

regardless of the sound system. im not a proggy fan, so i preffer the music played at aria then stereo. Plus prog never plays anything else other then prog so they really don't have to worry about high pitched tones the way aria does. And for me its about the tracks not the slight difference between both your great system. So long as its not crappy like Sona's was i don't care. If you wanna talk about ear ringing after a night anyone who went there for a night will tell you want true ear ringing is :P. I say you both have good systems :P

I don't think it matters whose sound system is better, it only matters which club your representing. Brad will obviously say Stereo is better, JF will obviously say Aria is better. Same goes with anyone in this forum. We're all biased to some degree.
To be honest I've never had a night ruined by a soundsystem. Things that piss me off more than soundsytems are lineups, (imo, arias lineups have been better for me than stereos!), hospitability - both clubs have great management and are clubber friendly, bouncers - no real opinion except Aria has one of the nicest guys doing the bouncing, Taha, Raoul or Malek, do you guys remember the name of the guy I asked, I still wanna say thanks to JF for hiring that guy.

Those are the only things I could see being any sort of nuisance to a night out (not the sound, because both clubs obviously have great soundsystems!)

The most important thing Brad in a club is the vibe and that's why Aria is so good.
And elkhedewi if you think there is more vibe at Stereo than at Aria, it's your choice but I have never seen people went crazy there!

Anyway, there is choice for everyones but I just hate it when Stereo guys always try to in compare their sound system, because it's the only thing they have! Why you just don't post your nights and try to promote it good until coming on Aria threads and try to still people all the time? This is really annoying Brad!

And how you feel now since you are trying to do some trance nights since you think it's good at Aria, it's so copycat!

Well I'm hardly a good person to comment, since I've been to each club only once. Let me just say that the sound system at both of these venues absolutely blew away anything we have in Vancouver away, hahaha, I was amazed. Vibe in both places was great too. , I'd kill for either Aria or Stereo in Vancouver, let alone both.

Maybe I'm just going deaf from dj'ing, but I didn't find the sound system at Aria to be TOO loud at the Hybrid show, and there were times when the high ambience of their tunes was so bloody loud that I couldn't even hear myself screaming with joy =)
