| Guys I am clueless on what to do with a file once I download it from say a site that requires you to use winrar to do the extraction? For example http://www.truemp3s.com/index2.html. Can someone help??? I have winrar on my comp BUT can't figure out how to extract it and convert the file I get from this site into an MP3 file or any other useable file. Thanks board! |

Do i just rename the ending to .rar from whatever it says??? The do I convert it from winrar to mp3, still confused? Thanks! |

First of all in your Windows Explorer, goto tools>Folder Options and then goto View page... Uncheck the Hide File Extensions For The Known File types...All this deos is it will show your file with the extension in the Windows explorer (e.g Nugen - Darksides (Thomas Penton remix).mp3/Nugen - Darksides (Thomas Penton remix).rar)
There is currently no utility that will convert a .rar file to .mp3.
If you have a file named Nugen - Darksides (Thomas Penton remix).rar and you have winrar installed, then just right click and extract...if that doesn't work, then change the extension to mp3 and thats it...
.pl file extension is used by winamp3 playlist file (not 100% sure)...
hope this helps |

.pl is extension for perl script, a common language used for cgi web scripts.
my guess is that the links link to a perl script which then calls the mp3 file. so you gotta left click the link instead of right-click save-as. |
