..?

I only listen to the mix that got me hooked, the other ones don't get discovered till much later.

I always listen to them all, just in case they are good. in fact i often save the one i bought it for till last.

i tend to mix the one that got me hooked on the song...when i get a new vinyl, i'll skip through the other remixes, but i won't really give them a chance till much later...i still have soooo many records with remixes i haven't given a chance yet... :D

I always listen to all the mixes. it is essential to know what you're buying.

I listen to all mixes, sometimes there are some remixes better than the original version.

LOL... when I read this topic I started laughing.

Let me explain...

Whenever I go to the record store I like to have heard most of what's on the shelves beforehand. I know what producers I like, so if I've heard a specific mix and really like it, I'll just buy the vinyl. I really don't care if the other side is good or not, and that shouldn't affect the buying decision anyways.

For example, take Luzon - Manilla Sunrise. It took yooshi forever to release it, and it came out as a 2X12". I bought it for schulz's moscow mix (gu021 :)). I've had it since it was released, and just recently I "discovered" Luzon's dub mix and couldn't believe how awesome it was.

This happens to me all the time :), so that's why I started laughing when I read this thread's topic.

I always listen to the entire 12" when I buy because often they have other tracks in addition to the one I bought it for. I rate my vinyl purchases on how many new songs I get to spin compared to the number of records bought (obviously a higher number of songs than records is good).

I listen to everything because sometimes I find a gem where I wasn't looking for one :)

I only listen to the track I bought it for. In fact, I get a kick out of it when I discover a b-side track I like months later.
