Haha, man that's one of the most annoying services in XP, anyway this is how you disbale "Windows Messaging" so you don't get the anymore, FYI "Windows Messaing is completly different than MSN"

To turn off console messages (and stop the messenger spam):
Click Start, Setttings, Control Panel
Double Click "Administrative Tools"
Double Click "Services"
Find and Double click "Messager Service"
Select "Disabled" for the startup option, and "Stop" button.

That is just a console message. To send one yourself, do this:

Start/Run/
type CMD

code:
C:\> net send computer message

where "computer" is either the name of a computer, or user, or IP address, and "message" is what you want to send

so you can send yourself one by:
code:
net send localhost test

Oh in the mists of all of the I forgot to say that it's go nothing to do with spyware either, it's spam companys that do a serch of IP's in a certian range, and the ones that come back as active get the special message :p
