when a rmx to a song pops out here('amateur rmx of an amateur song')...does the original artist go out and ask people to rmx it or does the rmxer contact the original artist?
was wonderin because i havent really done anythin and wouldnt mind tryin to rmx somethin, i tried that Tranquility song, but i gave up...LMAo...i had a brainfreeze the whole way through...LMAo... |

I'd say that it's reasonably unusual for an amateur producer to ask other amateur producers for remixes - usually the remixer would contact the original artist seeking permission and material to work with.
Admittedly I have tried to persuade a couple of people to remix my tracks, but usually they laugh! :D |

| Only once have I actually been asked to remix something, most of the time they've been "open offers" from the producer of the original or I've asked permission to remix it myself. |
