and how much do live groups get payed ??? |

I used to know some concrete numbers, now i'm just going to toss out estimates. Biggy would know, but will he reveal it ? Probably not and i wouldn't blame him. Anyhow, top tier DJs like PVD, Oakie, Digweed, Tiesto etc, 50K for a few hours of work if i remember correctly.
Armin & Ferry probably command less money, although what a bottom 1st tier DJ gets paid, i have no clue. Looking at locals in Ottawa, I had a friend that spun at Atomic, if i remember correctly, he would get paid 500$ a night. |

i'll give u numbers i've heard
Remember those numbers are USD !!!
Tiesto = 25 000 $
Armin Van Buuren = 15 000 $
Paul Van Dyk = 30 000 $
John Digweed and Sasha ( their last delta heavy )= 45 000 $
Sasha = 25 000 $
Fat boy slim = 45 000 $
Carl Cox = 20 000 $ ( not sur about that )
Now you know why it cost so much to enter the clubs !

| but deejays play on sliding scales....depends what is brought in for the club. If they know they play a big club and the club will be packed, then they ask for the usual. But certain deejays play longer for less and certain deejays play smaller venues for less. I mean sasha is playing revival in toronto on may 6th....there is no way, he is asking for his usual fee (tho dunno), playing a club to maybe 500 ppl at most. |

what is revival? anyone know if he's comming to MTL? Aria? Stereo? |

that is different though because it's a goldclub 'big dj small club' event, so benson and hedges is probably paying him a load of money.
