hmmm
i dunno, well i guess i don't have the time to turn it on even tho i'm in mirc.. because i'm either ripping something for someone, checking out new tunes got, not here, got no bandwidth, or something like that..
but i think the thing is that some people, regardless of how new sim's tunes are, would prefer to play their own tracks, and change the tracks whenever they wish =p |

I agree with that!:)
When I'm online and Sim is playing ,I always tune in,because I like the stuff he's playing,but I can imagin' that not every one is lovin' all those tracks,but Sim is not the only one havin' those few listeners,Tempes hasn't always got that much listeners,same geos for Trancenation,and all the others
But I'm guessing (maybe I should post this in the sitesuggestions),that a link like there is on the mainpage saying 'X people are enjoying TA-radio' in the Forums would help to get more listeners |

main reasons for me not listening to TA radio:
1. i forget to
2. my conn fails on me
3. bad quality (i know its broadcasted on low rate for ppl with a poor conn, and i really app. that, cuz otherwise, i couldnt listen to it at all...)
4. bad tracks (hardly the case when Sims spinning, hes got major kickass tracks, really!!!)
so iz not like i dont WANNA listen to Sim, or any one else spinning on TA radio, iz just 1 of those things i just said...
and Sky is right, u spin cuz u like to spin, not cuz u want others to like it, although i like Sims stuff A LOT :)
& the mixer problem... we could still raise that fund we talked about some time ago :) |

| I listen mostly every time, so that's all I can do, but Glanis...I think that it won't help to start a thread about this..I think cyberia is right: there should be a link on the forum mainpage and not only on the site homepage..I think that'll help! But hey..as long as you know Sim that just as worthwile to spin for 2 people as for 2000 people! And...find a sugardaddy to get you this new mixing equipment :p |

I don't think the problem lies in don't knowing he's on.
Like yesterday, there were 25 ppl in the chatroom and he had only 9 listeners
I know some of you don't have the time to listen always (and you guys on 56k CAN listen to because we keep the bitrate low so everyone can enjoy TA Radio) but I don't think that 16 out of 25 don't have the time to tune in for a little while.
And don't say Simcut's records isn't your style because if it isn't then I think you don't belong here at TranceAddict. He's playing the tunes most of you guys won't hear because you can't get them.
Just look at his Top 20's and you'll see that they're all quality tunes.
And don't go saying he should mix them together because he can do it, but his mixers are broken.
BTW Yes it did took 30mins for him to pick them vinyls. And maybe when he was playing them vinyls he couldn't play the mp3 you asked him for. Because he hasn't got all his tunes on vinyl you know

Simcut (Simon) is devoting almost all his free time to give you guys/girls a decent evening. And most of you don't even give a damn to turn on TA Radio or even look in the post.
He spent around 30 minutes picking vinyls to play and nobody bothered to tune in.
This is almost always the case when he plays (spending time picking vinyls and (almost) nobody tunes in).
It's really unsatisfying for Simon (could imagine that) this way. I for one already stopped playing vinyls for you guys if it was going on like this for so long.
Please tune in when TA Radio is in the air. It's really worth it (especially when Simon is playing)
Hopefully this thread will make people more aware of what Simon is doing for us here.

dude what is wrong with you.. it is disrespectfull for you to leave out all the other guys that play for us on TA radio.. tempestrip, skywarp, trancenation, blighty, lexiconavenue(hope thats right), the method, djrv, and whoever else has spun... thats bull for you to act like sim is the only one or that his time is more valuable than these guys. WTF???! "especially when Simon is playing" how bout especially when anyone is playing. but thats besides the point the point is that we dont have to listen if we dont want to and we for sure dont need someone making us feel like we do.
i dont feel the need to explain why i dont listen to sim when i dont. and we are not obligated by any means to listen to him. he should play the music because he loves to play the music not because he wants attention. he is not the only one who does not get massive amounts of listeners. and there are many reasons why someone would not listen. i do not worship sim and therefor if i dont feel like listening i dont. that does not mean that we do not have respect for what he is doing. and if he doesnt like it then why do it. im about sick and tired of all this pity simcut bull. people not listening is not an abuse of his time.. if noones listening then he can stop and go about and do whatever he damn well pleases with his time.. matter of fact he doesnt have to play at all.. its not like we are begging him to play and then not listening.. he is abusing my time with all his negativity and pity me .. because that brings down my attitude.. now thats abuse. i have listened to tempes spin for over 15 hrs straight twice and not once did he complain about how many listeners there were. and thats more work than sim has ever put into it. sim gets on for 15 mins and is complaining. that actually makes me not want to listen if i was. skywarp played for just me and someone else the other night.. now thats ing dope. 2 listeners and not a word out his mouth other than i hope you guys enjoyed that. and tell me im being to harsh and ill tell you thats what you should expect before posting something like this. sim is not the only one who plays.. hes just the only one who complains about it.. get over it already.. we are not indebted to anyone here. and im tired of people acting like we should treat sim a certain way or do a certain thing for him.. get over it already. |
