Cube's crazy adventure at Club Division One

Alright, so I leave thinking oh half of new york is going to get to hear me play blah blah so happy. Cruising down the highway listening to Daniela's PPR Show, having a blast. I finally pull up to the club.
The guy before me is playing some crappy and no one is dancing, so he's on his last record and I look around like "where the ph00k is the computer?!?!?!?" It's not here yet, but he's coming late. So I knew things weren't going to go smooth. I start off with a little progressive house.......nothing...everyone looks at me braindead. So I was like alright that's it, I put on Nu-Nrg - Butterfly.....OMFG EVERYONE WENT NUTS. It was like mad dash onto the dancefloor. So the guy taps me on the shoulder and he's like "We're about to go live get ready." I turn down the booth monitor and get all prepared....to call of you guys. I hear "PH00K ME!!!!!!!!!!" and I just turned up the volume and kept playing.
Here comes the best part, so cube is going off on the one's and two's.......paul van dyk......nu-nrg.......rank 1....all the good stuff. The owners brother comes up to me and he's like YO turn it down!! So I was like ah o.k. as soon as he stepped out of the booth I cranked it back up :p. So after him coming in four times, he finally got fed up with it.
So he comes in 10 mins left in my set, "IF YOU DON'T TURN DOWN THAT BASS I'M GONNA KICK YOU OUT OF THE CLUB!!!" So the d00d that's throwing the party is like Armando, there is 10 mins left do whatever the you want. So I mixed in Gouryella - Gouryella and just went off with the bass. So right towards the end, he comes in, takes my record off, the crowd starts cheering, he grabs me by my shirt and throws me out of the club :stongue: . So Cube now, is pissed off because no one got to hear him, and he gets thrown out of the club for slamming the bass :p.
As I'm walking to my car the head guy from the crew is like bro. You're incredible and we want you to join our collective crew. Which basically means that any major events they do, they will call me up to spin with them.
So basically what appeared to be awesome turned ty, then got worst but yet funny at the sametime, and then ended up good. I'm happy....sorry for the who showed up late and didn't get everything set up correctly. But I will one day hopefully will be able to spin for you guys, maybe with Arturo, maybe with fl0, chris a.k.a. x-phactor, dee, or YOU!!!!!!!!!:crazy:

Cubie I am glad you called me...I wasn't sleeping well thinking that I was missing your set. I am sad I didn't hear it but also happy that no one else did either :p -- am i terrible?
Next time you have a big gig (that won't be taken over by s) I will fly to Texas to see you spin. Otherwise, get your dimples to NY and rip it up here!

*E-mail from the d00d throwing the party this morning*
Man, right after you got kicked out a couple of the band geeks from downstairs appearently hopped over the bar while I was spinning and broke the tab off of the Coors Light and were drinking all the beer, so I was rudely interrupted by the bouncers wanting to know who did it. Like I ing know........I'm in the middle of mixing. So they left and then Zack (B-Wack) comes up to me and says they tried to do a citizen's arrest on him because they thought he did it, and they smelled his breath and were like, its not him, his breath smells like Rolling Rock not Coors Light.
Zack said he saw the one tall dude with the yellow shirt and the other guy that was with him do it; why he didn't say anything, I don't know; MAYBE BECAUSE IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE BACK THERE THAT WOULDN'T HAPPEN. Anyway, some went on downstairs which caused the whole club to shut down at like 1am, so we got the boot at like 1:10. Then we're out in the parking lot and a fight breaks out between these two guys. Actually it was more like, one hit. The bigger guy knocked the out of the smaller guy which left him lying on the ground for 5 min. The damn Arlington PD was patrolling the place, and to make matters worse, my car was right next to all that . What a way to end a Thursday night. And dude, I was really feelin' it too. There was so many people that got kicked out; us, the bands, the customers, you, everybody, something was going to happen, you know. But thats it.
