I went up with Dicoe Joe, Alec, Assassin, and MEAT. After getting slightly turned around on the way up, we finally made it to Amir for the Shwarma gathering.
I wanted to get some food, and I was like "Can I get un assiete de..."
The Dood's like "There's no assiete! Do you want what he's having?"
I says "Ok, with chicken"
he says "THERE"S NO CHICKEN, do you want what he's having?"
I says "To hell with it, I'm not eating here"
WTF is up with that? Nice attitude, buddy! I might eat there again someday :rolleyes:
So we went to McDonalds to eat, then headed over to Aria. When I got there I had to listen to the usual dose of constant banging with no rhythm or emotion. The music (if you can call it that) was so boring that I was falling asleep --I was scared I wouldn't make it to the end of the night.
I leaned myself up against the bar with my arms crossed in boredom. Then I looked over and saw DJ Charlie sitting down with his arms crossed in boredom as well. :stongue:
Then I got swarmed by 5 Ginos. I don't know what the they were thinking but they needed to step back. One of them burned me with their ciggarrettes, the in bastage. They were all but blowing their cig smoke in my face. Then they did the same when the started on their joints.
I found myself constantly looking at my watch hoping that PVD would come on soon. When he finally got on, I ran away from those heads and up to see PVD. Immediatly I started to feel the music! With Ferry it took a long time for me to get into it. But with PVD I was feeling the music right away. The tunes he dropped were unreal, especially in the first 45 minutes. UNREAL TUNAGES!
Then his CD skipped, and PVD snapped. He started blasting someone as if it was the equipments fault for the problem. I thought he looked like one of those spoiled brats. Anyone else would have just dealt with it and move on. That took away from my "music high".
Then I finally got back into the music after about 3 songs following "the incident". The whole night I found myself saying "wow, that's a ing great tune". Especially when he played Butterfly --that was off the hook. The crowed didn't seem to understand that song though. I was going nuts and everyone else was just looking lame or something :nervous:
As far as the music goes, while PVD was spinning, it was off the hook. What a great show (too bad he only played for 2.5 hours tho). Another great part of the night was the 6 or 7 HOT CHICKS that were dancing behind the deejay booth all night. OMG I was always looking back to watch them rub themselves and . Those chicks blew me away! There is nothing like a bunch of hot chicks to go along with a good trance set.
As for the club itself, it was really hot. And it was jammed packed too. I was starting to get frustrated up until PVD got the music to take control of me. I don't think I've ever felt so many and asses in my life :eek: :eek: :D Girls were rubbin up against me as they tried to pass through. The only bad part is when some dood past by me and nearly bagged me with his glow stick :whip: :whip:
anyway, It was an unreal night. |

| Both Myself and My Girlfriend didnt like Preach at all. I was actually mad at him at the end... I just wanted PVD to start playing. I cant believe im hearing people say PVD was and that he was playing cheeze trance!!. Preach's set was better. Thats the funniest thing I have heard in a while. |

But we need a tracklisting for the set. There is a tune I need ID'ed and I know I have it somewhere in my collection. It's tearing me up!!! |

I know.. what a ing jerk. I still can't figure out why he was getting pissed at us for running out of shawarma meat. I really didnt care either.. I said that's fine just get me something else whatever you have. "What do you want me to do" he screamed. Get me some ing food idiot. I was going to throw my rotten potatoe in that pricks face. (sorry no offense to arab cuisine here.. I am sure it's good when its fresh.) |

| I thought I heard a three drives-carrea 2 some mix I havent heard, it was very nice.(mix?) I heard this at around the 2:00 hour mark of his set (just guessing here). I could be totally wrong on this tho.I remember 2 years ago at wemf I was so fried on god knows what and alls I could hear was Mauro Picotto- komodo , over and over. It was really weird :P. |

The thing is, I had a long day. I was so tired you can'T imagine.
I woke up very early, had school, and had to go to work till 10:30 at night. Usually I don'T work the day I go to Aria, but this time it was a thursday, and I'm always working thursday. Sorry if I didn't look alive. I also passed out 2 times on the dance floor for a few seconds. It was kinda ok with me that PVD left early... cause I'm sure I would have passed away for real. :nervous:
First I want to say, it was nice seeing a big bunch of TAs at Amir, even if I didn't came up to all of you to say hi. I was kinda shy.
Biggy, I was impressed that there was no line up out side. But still it was too crowded, but it was acceptable. More than that It would have been hell.
PVD played very well. I really enjoyed his set, even with the scratched cd... lol But he was cool as ice.
So I had a great time in general.
I've recorded the set... It should be of a good quality like last time... But there was a conference next to me. lol some people were talking for hours. like... can'T they wait to be outside to discuss ? do they really have to yell at each others for hours ?
I'll have to fix this up so they don'T bother us again on the set.

my review.
it's a ing shame. that on the biggest TA gathering, pvd pulls this kind of . he was supposed to play at least 3.5 hours. and like so many said, thank god! for preach and marco g, cause they fukin rocked.
