hey man thats cool !! :)

i like it! so keep working on it

....however, i would say it has an amaturish sound to it, escpeccially the drums,

the bass line is ok IMO
also the melody is very good!
also that cool sound of taht bird or whatever (for example 0:53) :)

good luck
:wtf:

gr8 start to your new tune! :D but i do have to agree with the drums part. Try using a TR909 patch of some sort. I am also a reason user and the synth is great, work at the tune and it should sound brill.

Cheerin 4 the motivation. thanks heaps. when you say it sounds amaturish. i am :P i've been using reason(and making music for that matter) for about 9-10 months. i now have Rebirth so i can give the drum patches a bit of a change. but other feedback to help it not sound amaturish. ie ( how to make it sounds like its in a virtualizer! is it good to add a mastering verb? if so how should i set it up.. how do i make this sound mastered its one thing i am lacking and it would help a great deal if i can get some feedback on how i can liven up this semi dull sound

Would be great =D

Thanks Guys

hey man i'm much more amature than you are believe me :wtf:
all i can suggest is try using diffrent drum samples...
after all an ear of every trance lover can decide what sounds pro and what's not.... so simply listen to your tune and try to critisize it...

good luck again :p

for the most part: good production. Reminds me of some of my earlier stuff. I'm really diggin that effect and the main lead. here is what i would suggest to get a less amateurish sound:

1. The bass sample is ok, at best. I would just try to find another sample. I would make the pattern a little more dancy.

2. Beef up the synth! You are using reason right, so i would suggest adding a flanger to the Mixer, and craking it up on ur synth samples. Flanger, to me, can really beef a reason synth. Also, try EQing the bejeezus out of it.

3. The drums. They are really soft. It feels like you dont even want them to be heard. The hihat pattern is good, but the sample is not great. If you dont have PERCUSTUFF and PNS Dance Drum Kit refills get them now. they do wonders.

This track has lots of potential. I understand that it is just bones right now, but i think you could turn this into a wicked beast. Just take a day to fiddle around with effects and stuff. Keep at it!

Hey thanks for the cool tips man. my track is starting to beef up with some new drum samples. they make a big difference. im glad i got over that obstical. Just a quick question. I have $250 left to pay off my layby. Im getting 3xInca 8in and 8out soundcards and a behringer UB2442 mixer. with behringers ultrabass. will this help to beef up and seperate my instruments? is it better to do it this way to have 24 channels for each seperate reason instrument. oh btw im now using sonar too. With all this eq will it increase my sounds quality?

Thanks

I'll post the rest of the track in a few days. Thanks once again =D:stongue:
